How to Copy Any PC Game

As computers have been developed further and further, it's no wonder that games have become a lot more sophisticated and protected. This means that if you want to copy a PC game, for backup purposes, then you may find it's quite difficult, considering all the copyright protection that the game developers have put on their discs. This is a big problem, but one which can easily be overcome if you use the right tool or technique.

Because it takes a lot to make a computer game, many companies don't want their work copied illegally. This has lead them to introduce a lot of copyright protection measures to prevent us from being able to copy their games at all. Now, we don't condone illegally copying games... but if you want to copy a game you legally own, then this can cause a problem.

READING GAMES

PC games are actually quite well protected, by a system called encryption. When a game manufacturer produces a computer game, they don't burn it straight to disc... they encrypt the game in a special language that only the game company, Microsoft and a special Windows module can read. This means that if you try and copy the game, your CD / DVD burner will only copy a collection of jumbled words / letters, as that's what the encrypted game will look like to it.

In order to copy any PC game, you just need to be able to use a tool or technique which can read this encrypted data. With encryption being a special "language", it means that you need to get your copying software to be able to copy the game perfectly, on a 1:1 copy rate in order to make it able to make it playable. ou just need to be able to get a tool which allows you to copy PC games (such as GameBackupSystem), then you just need to put the game disc into your PC and then allow your computer to read & copy the disc.
